Apple’s (APPL) share price has spectacularly risen 7 fold over the last 4 years due to massive demand for igadgets but the question is, how long can the demand for new Apple products remain? After all, a quick increase in screen size and making something thinner wont cut the mustard. Early sales figures have hinted that all may not be well with Apple’s share price.

There was much riding on the Apple update for the first weekend sales from the new iPhone 5 and here they are.

This number would be great if only it wasn’t 50% off the highest whisper estimate of up to 10 million sales in the weekend. It is also the reason why the stock is now sliding down well over 2%, threatening to light the AAPL hedge fund hotel on fire.
